DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 2345Z MARCH 31, 2008

West/Central Texas

A pair of eastward moving smoke plumes is observed.  1 plume originates
in Howard County and extends eastward to Taylor county and is up to 15
nmi wide.  The other originates in Dawson and extends approximately to
Fayette county and is up to 30 nmi wide.

East Texas Panhandle/West Oklahoma

A thick but narrow smoke plume extends from Wheeler county in Tecas to
Dewey County in Oklahoma.  A 2nd less dense plume extends from Beckham
county in Dexas to Caddo County in Oklahoma. Both plumes are approximately
5 nmi wide and moving east.


Hawaii

A wide plume of thin dispersed smoke extends west-southwestward from
the Big Island.

Elsewhere widespread smoke is not observed.
