DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Southeast and Gulf Coast States: Only isolated generally light smoke plumes were observed moving northeast from ag burns across the South. An exceptional fire appeared in Vernon County, Louisiana, and produced a light to moderately dense plume of smoke that extended east for 120 km. Southwest: Moderately dense but narrow smoke plumes were moving generally east from fires in Gila and Coconino counties in Arizona and from Socorro County, New Mexico.
