Northwestern and Central US: Light remnant smoke, mainly from wildfires in Idaho, California, and Wyoming, could be seen extending from the west coast of Oregon eastward through the Great Lakes region and then southward into the lower Mississippi Valley. An area of moderately dense smoke was also present across eastern Idaho and Wyoming due to the wildfires in close proximity emitting large amounts of smoke. The majority of the smoke across the northern half of the US continues to move eastward into Quebec. Canada: Pockets of mainly light remnant smoke were present across British Columbia and northern Alberta due to the wildfires in the northern portions of these provinces emitting light to moderately-dense smoke. -Vogt- THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS.
