No significant areas of smoke and/or blowing dust can be seen in tonight's satellite imagery. -Belge Earlier Today: Central US: A large amount of agricultural fires in parts of eastern Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and northeast Texas yesterday had produced smoke that could still be seen in small patches this morning over southwest Arkansas and from northeast Oklahoma into southwest Missouri. The smoke was slowly moving north and northeast. Western Gulf of Mexico: Patches of thin smoke were seen this morning over the western Gulf moving southward. Two fires along the Louisiana coast were actively producing smoke plumes as well. Much of this smoke is thought to be from several fires along the Louisiana and Texas coasts yesterday.
