SMOKE: Canada/United States/Gulf of Mexico/Atlantic Ocean... A large area of smoke attributed to a combination of wildfires across western Canada and the United States, and seasonal burning throughout the United States, continues to impact most of North America and extend into the north Atlantic Ocean. Light smoke was observed across most of Canada and extended south into the western U.S. and into northern Mexico and southeastern states. The light smoke continued to move east across the northeastern seaboard and into the Atlantic south of Greenland. Medium density smoke was seen throughout central Canada, and parts of eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Medium smoke was also seen moving into the north Atlantic. Cloud cover prevented a more detailed analysis. Mills THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE, TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS.
